A guide to Determining if You Should Work with a Financial Advisor
Warren Buffet warned to "never ask a barber if you need a haircut". The quote is a reminder to be careful not to seek advice from someone trying to sell you something, as they are not objective.
Why would a financial advisor bring this up? We realize all advisors are not the same. Every investor and family have unique needs which may not be met by just any advisor. The right advisor will be transparent, objective, put clients’ needs above their own, and be someone you feel comfortable with.
We encourage everyone to do their research to determine if an advisor is right for you. And, if so, figure out which type of advisor fits your needs. This can only occur through conversations and a mutual understanding by each party. Know exactly how the relationship will work.
