"We believe an opportunity to outperform the market comes from anticipating investor behavior. We further believe behavioral biases shape the expectations around a company and ultimately influence its stock price. These biases often lead to a predictable pattern of how investor expectations will evolve and offer a rare opportunity to capture alpha in an otherwise efficient market."

From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Riddle was the Chief Investment Officer and lead portfolio manager for 361 Capital.  Prior to 2016, was Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner for BRC Investment Management in 2016, a firm he co-founded. Previously, he was President and Chief Investment Officer of Duff & Phelps and CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Capital West Asset Management. During his tenure at these firms, he served as lead portfolio manager for a variety of long/short, market neutral, portable alpha, 130-30 risk mitigated and short-only investment strategies for large institutional pension clients.

“As Niels Bohr said:  ‘Forecasting is very difficult, especially about the future.’  We don’t try to out-forecast the market, but rather, we aim to understand and benefit from behavioral biases and forecasting errors that are made every day by both individual and professional investors alike.”

Mr. Riddle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Hawaii and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut. He has also earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA). Mr. Riddle is a member of the Denver Society of Security Analysts.
